Brew Day


Well, I finally got off of the old duff and brewed today. I already have an American Brown Ale in the fermemter, and my American Pale Ale is about 15 minute into it's boil. I'm sure that even though it seemed ok for the first 15 minutes, now that I'm inside it will be spewing all over the freaking place. It's like the pot of wort knows when you aren't paying attention isn't it?  :-(

I'm trying something new this brewing session. I have an O2 and on the first batch I blasted the cooled wort with it before and during the yeast dump. We'll see just how much difference this makes in the fermentation I guess. I'm using Nottingham, a favorite of mine in this brew, and it always seems to do wonderfully...but now maybe it'll be more gooder!  :-)

I still have an Oktoberfest that I need to get brewed, but that will have to wait until tomorrow at the earliest. I WILL try to get it in the fermenter before the end of March though, because after all it IS a Marzen beer isn't it?  :-)

Ok, gotta go pour myself another American Pale Ale whilst the next generation of it finishes in the brewpot. Ah, the circle of beer life!
