SCORE!!!

It's been a LOOOOOOONG time since I posted something here, and to be honest there hasn't been too much to post I guess. Nothing exciting has been happening around here, at least nothing worthy of taking my time to update my brewing site. No brewing, the summer heat down here is killer, and hey, I'm not getting any younger. Plus, I had to lug around enough 75+ pound crates and boxes at work this summer to fill my lifting quota for some time to come now....but, today the Fed Ex delivery guy dropped off a couple of boxes I didn't mind lugging around at all!

One of my lifetime friends...er...minions moved a couple of months ago to the rocky sandy scorpion infested Mesa Arizona. While they have ample amounts of the things mentioned above...it seems they also have a more than ample supply of delicious ales as well. Today I received a lovely care package, well two of them actually, each stuffed to the brim with wondrous 22 ounce creations such as Stone Vertical Epic, Stone Smoked Porter, and 5 or 6 other Stone offerings, just about everything made by Rogue brewery, and another assortment of 12 ounce beauties to boot! I haven't cataloged then all yet, but I do at least have them in the old kegerator getting chilled out and ready for consumption. While I wait, I'm having a force chilled (courtesy of the remaining small amount of space in the kegerator freezer compartment) Broken Halo IPA by Widmer Brother's Brewing. There are a few offerings available in my area by Widmer, and I've found most of them to be reasonable beers at a reasonable price, but this particular brew I have not seen before. It is a GREAT IPA in my opinion, and hands down beats the other brands from this brewery. I can't wait to sample each and every one of the other (did I mention free? muahhahhaahhaaa) beers that my brethern in brews delivered. I sure hope this turns out to be a Beer of the Month club, heh heh, although to be honest, at this rate it should be more like a Beer of the Tri-month as I probably have two or three months supply. Hey Johnnie boy, you keep'a'shipping them, I'll find somewhere to store them! :-) *burp*
