Blue Moon Belgian White

The first obvious surprise from this beer was that it is produced by the Coors Brewing Company. I had no idea that they were capable of producing a beer with flavor!

This beer is a Belgian style wheat ale that is light in color, but not light in character. This is a flavorful spicy wheat beer that is surprisingly packed with flavor for such a light beer. It is cloudy as one would expect from an unfiltered wheat beer, and has a nice spice and hop nose. The beer has a slight tartness and sweetness and spiceness that tries to defy characterising. A nice carbonation that leaves a floral bouquet in the aftertaste. A very refreshing and unique beer (at least to me). My first impression some months ago upon tasting this beer was "honeysuckle" which is a flowering vine native to my area...but I have failed to discern that characteristic this tasting.

It does have some flower spicness to it though, whether from the yeast or other ingredients I don't know. But, a good beer anyway. I would recommend it.
