Brew Review #15
I'm a bit confused by the label (and website) on this brew...but I believe the name is Siwo beer, and the brewery is Xihu. This is a Chinese beer, and according to the label it is brewed with the loy Quartz water of hupao springs at 100 meters under ground. I believe there was some sort of mishap at the brewery and they accidently bottled nothing but water!
This beer has almost NO perceptable aroma. If anything, there is a very slight hop aroma, much like if you handled some hop cones, then washed your hands very very good...then smelled them about 3 days later. :-(
This beer doesn't have much of anything in my opinion. I can only hope that there are some homebrewers somewhere in the remote reaches of China that are making something decent.
I'll try to find something good to say about it though; I don't know if you can see this in the picture or not...but the bottle is kinda cool. :) It is sorta ice shaped, probably some sort of honor to water (or "beer" as it's apparently called in China).
I'd give it a *burp*....but unfortunately there's not enough carbonation even for that. :-(
