Brew Review #23
Nice dark brown color, but waaaaaaaaay too malty for me. This brew is almost 'bockish' in taste in my opinion, shades of molasses in it, almost like it didn't quite ferment out all the way. It has a very nice aroma though, and also finishes bitter, so it's not all bad. I would have liked to have some more kosher hops added though for all of the hop additions. I guess I would prefer it were an American Dark Brown Ale instead of just a Dark Brown Ale.
According to the bottle this is the "beer you've been waiting for." Thankfully I'm not Jewish, so I haven't been waiting on this one, though in all honesty I can't wait...for it to be gone out of my glass so I can get something else!
Don't get me wrong, this beer really isn't that bad, it's just that I don't like a beer that is on the malty-sweet side of the brewing spectrum, and that's where this beer falls in my opinion.
L'CHAIM!
