Brew Review #25

Dogfish Head Indian Brown Ale

This brew, in my opinion, has a very unique taste that I don't think I've had in a brew before. It says that it is a "clean, well-hopped brown ale with aromatic barley, caramelized brown sugar and whole leaf liberty and goldings hops." I find it hard to describe some of the tastes that I'm detecting in this brew, but I think that the caramelized brown sugar is fairly prevalent. There also seems to be a bit of an alcohol nose to it, and to me this follows through in the finish taste. I haven't looked up this beer on the internet to see the ABV for it, and I wouldn't think that it's that high, but somehow I'm tasting it. Perhaps it is the brown sugar or something else in the brew...who knows.

This isn't a bad brew, but as with a lot of malty concoctions, it isn't my absolute favorite. Definately worth a try though!
